Key dates for next week:

  • Monday the 17th of September – Restorative Practice Information Evening at 6pm
  • Tuesday the 18th of September – Parent Teacher Consultations

Parent Teacher Consultations

It has been a busy week at school. Class talent performances have been entertaining everyone. We were pleased to welcome parents for the consultations on Tuesday. The consultations continue next Tuesday with class teachers. Mr Schroder, Mr Leone, Miss Hill, Mrs McGraw, Mrs Caplin and Mr Purton are also available to parents during the consultation times. You can visit these teachers in the gym, learning centre and ICT suite.

Visitor to QBS

Next week we will welcome Kristy Elliott back to QBS. She will provide professional development for staff on Monday and Tuesday. The area of focus will be on using a strategy called circles to develop social and emotional development aspects in students. Kristy will offer a workshop to parents in the evening. Please click here to read about this workshop.

After School Clubs

We value the extra curricular life of students and at QBS we aim to offer a wide range of clubs. The waiting arrangements for all after school clubs is under review. A communication about procedures for after school clubs will be shared in the near future. There have been occasions this week where students waiting for several hours for a club have disturbed those clubs which have been in session. The area in front of school will be designated as the waiting zone for all adults and students so that clubs are not disrupted once they are in session.

Wet Weather Procedures

All parents are encouraged to be familiar with the school’s wet weather procedures given the predictions about Typhoon Mangkhut reaching Hong Kong on Sunday. Should school be impacted by this typhoon all parents are advised to monitor news and weather bulletins early Monday morning.
