Students have settled back into school routines this week. They have been happy and industrious during lessons which has been pleasing to see. Kennedy School staff noticed this happiness when they visited during the week. The visitors commented on the welcoming and friendly disposition of the QBS students.

I was able to visit the Year 5 students at camp on Thursday afternoon and evening. It was great to be able to see the students involved in their team challenges and enjoying the experience. The students liked eating ‘smores’ by the sea and had very healthy appetites after a full day of water activities. One of the Year 5 students was amazed at how much pasta everyone could eat! I look forward to joining the Year 4s in a few weeks on their camp at Cheung Chau.

Unfortunately I was not able to attend the football tournament at King’s Park on Friday. QBS was represented by boys and girls. I am confident our students gave their best and played with good team spirit. Mr Leone and Miss Holmes accompanied the students to the tournament.

Next Monday QBS will celebrate Diwali and all students are invited to dress in bright colours to celebrate. Please do not send your child in school uniform on Monday. Thank you to the QBS PTA for arranging snacks and activities for students.

Next Friday QBS staff will be involved in professional development which focuses on well-being strategies in education. Please be reminded school is closed for students next Friday.

Results for Lantern Making Competition 2017

The lanterns made by the children were simply stunning! Our QBS students are really creative and it was a tough decision to make. Nevertheless we had to choose the winners for the different categories. Congratulations to all!
