2018/2019 QBS/ESF Calendar

Please disregard the previously shared 2018/2019 QBS/ESF Calendar – it has changed. An additional public holiday has been gazetted by the HK Government (13 May, 2019) and a CPD day has been removed (1 February, 2019).

The revised QBS/ESF calendar for the 2018/2019 school year can be viewed here.

Congratulations to the Year 6 students for an outstanding Exhibition on Thursday. It was a very proud QBS moment for staff and parents. The students were passionate, inspiring and knowledgeable about human rights issues impacting on refugees living in Hong Kong. I lost count of the number of times students reflected to me how privileged their lives are in comparison to others within the wider community. The meaningful contributions by various action speakers and charity groups from across Hong Kong were crucial to the success of the Exhibition and the authenticity of the learning. Thank you to all involved in this significant learning event for the Year 6 students.

We recently shared with families the various action group projects students were undertaking as part of their Exhibition. Please click here if you would like to read about the action. Through student-led action, $50,000.00 worth of money and goods will be donated by the students to a range charity groups supporting the refugee community in Hong Kong – tremendous QBS action resulting in students making a difference!

During assembly on Friday the Year 6 students shared how their action will make a difference to the lives of refugees living in Hong Kong

Please be reminded there is no school for students on Monday the 21st of May. School resumes as normal for all students on Wednesday the 23rd of May.
