Night Monkey Day Monkey – Wowsers!

I am so tremendously proud of our Year 4 student this week. Their performance called Night Monkey Day Monkey (adapted from Julia Donaldson’s book) was superb. Watching the students learn through drama, dance, drumming, singing, textiles and visual arts in Year 4 over the last few weeks came to a stunning conclusion on Thursday and Friday. I had tears of pride every time I watch them! Three cheers for our Year 4 students! I hope the memories of being in this outstanding performance stay with them always. I feel truly grateful to work with such professional staff who have so calmly, skillfully and creatively facilitated this learning experience for our students. Thank you to all involved and also to those members of the extended QBS community for their wise input too!

QBS Celebration of Learning – Friday 12th of June

Please be sure to watch the short video about the Celebration of Learning Day in advance so that you understand your role and its purpose. Thank you for your Gateway booking. The event is considered an important part of the annual learning consultation cycle and your child will lead the process. We look forward to seeing parents in school next Friday.

Textile Arts at QBS

As you may have noticed at QBS, there is always a lot of art included in our daily routines. This includes performance arts and visual arts. Here is a little request: if you have any unwanted wool (yarn), embroidery threads, buttons, sequins, ribbons, knitting needles, crochet hooks etc  at home which you would be happy to donate to school, please send them in to Ms Abidi. They can then be used and enjoyed by all of our students.
