Principal’s Comments

It has been another busy and productive year at QBS. The students have worked very hard throughout the year under the watchful eyes of QBS staff. The QBS staff are a dedicated and professionally committed group of individuals. They give so much to our students. The on-going learning progress of the students speaks volumes of the skill, effort and expertise of QBS staff. Thank you to our QBS staff for making a difference and keeping the children central to all that you do.

Best wishes to all of our leaving staff and families. We have formally farewelled these colleagues this week and expressed gratitude to all of them for their wonderful contribution to QBS over the years. Good luck to all of our leaving staff and best wishes for the future. Three cheers for our leaving staff: Tony Cann, Neil Ringrose, Joe Butler, Vanessa Mansfield, Lisa Cameron, Lisa Davies, Rose Tomlin, Kate Ringrose, Mari Kobayashi, Katie Jackson, Anne Randall, Doug Alvarez, Carrie Tao, Karen Ng and Amy Ho. These colleagues will begin new adventures beyond QBS and we will miss them all.

I am spending my holidays in Thailand this year and will enjoy quality family time with my husband and daughters. I am looking forward to being a mother for a few weeks!

I am proud to be the Principal of QBS and grateful to work alongside talented staff, enthusiastic students and supportive parents. I look forward to seeing everyone again in August.

Please enjoy some high quality dancing by QBS staff. The children loved this when we shared it on our final assembly today. Please click here to view dancing which will make you green with envy!

Regards,

Dunk a Teacher Fund Raiser for Christian Action Food Programme

We would like to thank everyone for their involvement in this fund raiser.  We raised just over $4000 for this worthy cause.  Special thanks should go to the Year 6 organising committee, our flash mob dancers and our five lucky teachers.

Fundraising for the Nepalese Earthquake

The QBS staff and community have continued to raise funds for the recent tragedy of the Nepalese Earthquake and have donated a further $800 this week. Thank you to Roisin Harder who took action at the weekend and contributed half if this amount by having a bake sale.

Bai San Ceremony

Last week the contractors held a Bai San Ceremony to commence the playground renovations. We hope this project progresses well over the summer.
